IMEX America has released the first details of its 2026 education program, with 12 tracks focused on event design, artificial intelligence, accessibility, sustainability, marketing, logistics, and leadership.
IMEX America outlines education tracks
The 15th edition of IMEX America is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 13, through Thursday, Oct. 15, in Las Vegas. The full education schedule is expected to go live online in early September.
The 2026 program highlights five education tracks tied to IMEX’s 2026-2027 Talking Point, Design Matters. The tracks are Designing for Human Needs, Design for Spectacle, Design Matters, Regenerative Design, and Tech Enabled Futures.
Tahira Endean, head of programming at IMEX, says the program responds to pressure on event professionals to adopt new technology, meet changing attendee expectations, show impact, and manage limited resources.
“At a time when change is constant, there’s real value in coming together in person,” says Endean. “IRL events create the space to share ideas, find common ground and solve problems collectively.”

New tracks focus on design and access
The Designing for Human Needs track will cover accessibility, neurodivergence, dietary needs, mobility, sensory needs, psychological safety, and belonging. According to IMEX, 26 percent of U.S. adults live with a visible or invisible need.
Design for Spectacle will focus on large-scale live experiences, including immersive events, sports venues, community events, creative leadership, and event operations.
The Design Matters track will look at how design can shape attendee experience and brand value. One session will introduce neuroaesthetics and examine how sensory perception, memory, and emotion affect brand experiences.
Program covers technology and sustainability
The Regenerative Design track will address environmental and social goals, including event proposals, request for proposal (RFP) practices, carbon emissions, travel, site visits, printing, technology use, and inclusive proposal planning.
Tech Enabled Futures will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), emerging tools, operations, and real-world case studies. One session will examine how AI can support personal branding and digital presence.
The full education program also includes Advanced Event Logistics, Health and Well-Being, Impact, Experiential Event Design, Leadership and Culture, Marketing and Engagement, and Trends and Research.
IMEX America provides professional education free of charge. In addition, Smart Monday, powered by Meeting Professionals International (MPI), will offer specialist sessions for corporate, agency, and association professionals. Some education sessions also offer credit toward Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP), and ICCASkills programs.
