Gregory Wilmot

December 30, 1978 – January 9, 2024

Gregory Richard Wilmot, 45, of Las Vegas, died Jan. 9, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. He was born Dec. 30, 1978, in Apple Valley, Calif., and moved to Las Vegas in 1993. He graduated from Chaparral High School and attended Clark County Community College and UNLV.

Greg began his career with the Teamsters apprentice program in 2005 and became a full member in 2006. He later joined Freeman as part of the Teamsters Union Local 631. He served as a freight instructor, ensuring colleagues were proficient and updated on certifications. Greg played a key role in negotiating union contracts and was the main management foreman for events like CES, SEMA and Infocomm.

In 2009, Greg met his wife, Synthia. They married in June 2014 and had two children, Madison and Mason. Greg cherished family time, playing golf with his children, coaching their flag football teams and watching Madison’s dance performances. He loved vacationing by the water and was an avid supporter of the Las Vegas Raiders and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

“You are everything I never knew I always wanted and needed,” Synthia said of her husband.

Greg was known for his generosity, often helping others without hesitation. His home was a sanctuary of warmth and love, a gathering place for family and friends. His unyielding spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Survivors include his wife, Synthia Wilmot; his children, Madison and Mason Wilmot; his parents, Gregory C. Wilmot and Carol J. Minor; and many other family members and friends.

A memorial service was held Feb. 3, 2024, at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church. The family thanks everyone for their support and compassion. In Greg’s memory, please raise a toast with Crown Royal.
