In Memoriam: Joseph Patrick Esposito, Jr.
June 19, 1974 – April 15, 2026

Joseph Patrick Esposito, Jr. died on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at age 51.
Esposito worked in the tradeshow and live events industry in the Chicago market, including roles with TRU Service Group and Octane Group. His career included city management and showfloor operations. His work involved maintaining relationships with show contractors and venue staff, helping with scheduling, and coordinating labor and trades for events.
He was a proud member of Carpenters Union Local 10, reflecting his connection to organized labor and the tradeshow community.
TRU Service Group said in a statement, “Joe was a valued leader, industry legend, and a cherished friend whose impact on the trade show industry will not be easily forgotten. We extend our deepest condolences to the Esposito family, loved ones, and all who had the utter privilege of working alongside him. Joe will be deeply missed.”
Esposito is survived by his wife, Maria T. Esposito; his children, Lucia and Joey; his father, Joseph P. Esposito, Sr.; his sisters, Kelly (Carl) Reina and Ashleigh (Eric) Grzeszczak; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Esposito.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Russo’s Hillside Chapels in Hillside, Illinois. Funeral services were held Monday, April 20, 2026, at Divine Providence Catholic Church in Westchester, Illinois.
Joseph Esposito’s passing is felt across his family, his colleagues, and the tradeshow labor community in which he worked.
