Todd Iverson
1960-2024
After a lengthy battle with early-onset Parkinson’s Disease and Parkinson’s Dementia, Todd passed away on October 19.
Todd was active in the tradeshow industry for more than 35 years at three companies: Brede Exposition Services, GES Exposition Services and Fern Expo & Event Services.
A native of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Todd began his career in the tradeshow industry at 15 years old working for his father (Ralph Iverson, President) at Brede Exposition Services. Todd started in the union carpenter shop supporting the fabrication of displays and custom rental components and then in the mid-1980s moved over to lead a newly formed ExhibitsPlus unit at Brede focused on the rental of custom and portable displays.
In 1990, Todd pursued an opportunity at GES in Southern California to lead the expansion of the Exhibit Services division. Within a couple of years, Todd relocated to Las Vegas to lead a similar team, while also managing a Top 100 tradeshow (Photo Marketing Association) national account with Ralph Iverson. After a decade in exhibit services at GES, Todd moved into a Vice President National Sales position and was a high achiever in that role.
Todd finished his extensive career in the tradeshow industry as Vice President, National Sales & Operations Western Region at Fern retiring on disability in 2017.
Always present at major industry events and conferences, Todd also served as President of ESCA in 1999. Anybody who worked with Todd knew that he was the “T” in tradeshows. His tireless energy and commitment to doing the best for his clients was second to none.
Todd is survived by two other tradetradshow leaders in the Iverson family. His father Ralph Iverson of Minneapolis-St. Paul also a past president of ESCA 1988-89, (Brede and GES); and his brother Chad Iverson of Las Vegas still active in the business (previously at GES) as Senior National Account Director at Pure Creative Solutions.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Todd on December 9 at Sierra Gold in Las Vegas, from 3-7 PM. Those who knew Todd are encouraged to attend and pay tribute to his memory.
