EDPA Northeast’s Rally at the Alley fundraiser to benefit Almony’s wife and daughters following his unexpected passing
When Tim Almony, a warehouse employee at Acer Exhibits, died unexpectedly on the night of Dec. 15, 2024, at age 43, he left behind more than just tools and tasks at the shop. He left behind a community of coworkers and friends who knew him as loyal, kind and selfless — and a family who relied on him every day.
Almony is survived by his wife, Dawn Brodt, and their two daughters, Alexis, 15, and Cheyenne, 13. Known for his quiet reliability and his willingness to help anyone he cared about, Almony worked behind the scenes to keep things moving in the exhibit world — often without recognition, but never without impact.
“He was a great father, a good husband and just a good guy all around,” said family friend Kayla Buta, who organized a GoFundMe campaign to help the family through the holidays and beyond. “We could always count on him for anything he could help with.”
Now, the EDPA Northeast Chapter is stepping in to carry forward that same spirit of support.
On Thursday, May 15, the chapter will host its annual Rally at the Alley fundraiser at Splitsville Luxury Lanes in Foxborough, Massachusetts, from 6 to 9 p.m. Proceeds from the event — after covering costs — will go directly to support Alexis and Cheyenne.
“We’re proud that 100 percent of proceeds will go directly to help support Tim’s children,” said Kayla Gott, president of EDPA Northeast. “This event is about more than bowling. It’s about showing up for one of our own when they need it most.”
Registration is open for individuals at $100, teams at $400, and non-bowlers at $75. Event registration can be completed online.
Sponsorship opportunities range from $250 to $1,000 and include logo placements, drink tickets and event access. T-shirts, beverage and raffle sponsorships are already sold out. Sponsors who commit by May 2 will be featured in printed materials; those after will be included in digital promotions. For details, visit the sponsorship registration page.
For those unable to attend but who still want to help, anonymous and direct donations can be made through the chapter’s contribution page.
The family is also accepting support via GoFundMe: “Support for Tim Almony’s Family After Loss.”
