Citing concerns over its ability to maintain the quality and level of service participants expect, Informa Exhibitions has announced it will cancel two events originally planned to take place in Brazil this November. The events are the co-located ABF Franchising Expo Nordeste and Fispal Nordeste scheduled for November 8-10 at Centro de Convenções de Pernambuco, Recife, Brazil.
The ABF Franchising Expo attracts businessmen, entrepreneurs, and investors who have the opportunity to explore investment options in franchises in various sectors of the national economy. Some of those sectors include home construction, food, hotel and tourism, health and beauty, entertainment and leisure, communication and electronics, fashion, and education.
Fispal Nordeste is a trade show for packaging, processes, and logistics for the food and beverage industry. It attracts visitors to the fair who are industry professionals from purchasing, marketing, manufacturing and other vocations from Brazil and several other countries.
The ABF Franchising Expo and Fispal Nordeste both have a history that dates back for several years in the Brazil marketplace. Show organizers did not detail the specifics of their decision to cancel this year’s event, but said in a statement, “This decision is due to our constant concern to maintain the quality level of our events and deliveries that meet the needs of our customers. We will keep our work focused on understanding the movements of the sector and its regions, so that we can communicate news soon.” The next ABF Franchising Expo is tentatively set to take place in June 2018 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
