International Restaurant & Foodservice Show, an all-encompassing event in New York for the restaurant and foodservice industry, announced finalists for 25th Annual Pastry Competition.
Paris Gourmet, a leading specialty food importer and distributor based in New Jersey sourcing products worldwide, selected 12 up-and-comers to compete for the “Pastry Chef of the Year” title during the Competition at this year’s show.
Judging at this year’s competition are board members of the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique, one of the oldest and most reputable chef associations in the world. There will be a total of $10,000.00 in contest awards.
The theme of this year’s competition is film animation, and all attendees are invited to see the distinguished showpieces created by America’s leading pastry chefs. The showpieces will remain on view for the duration of the Show.
The competition will be held Mar. 2 from 10 a.m.-5p.m., with the awards ceremony at 4 p.m.
