ITE Group acquires share of Indonesian events portfolio

Show organizer ITE Group plc expanded its reach in Southeast Asia, following a 50 percent acquisition of the Indobuildtech Expo events portfolio in Indonesia.

“This is a welcome addition to our portfolio. The events are well-organized, established, respected and operate in a rapidly developing market,” said Stephen Keen, director of Builders and Interiors, ITE. “I am also delighted that the original shareholders are staying with the business, and we’re looking forward to developing the partnership to continue improving and growing the Indobuildtech Expos.”

The Indobuildtech portfolio currently consists of five events throughout Indonesia. The largest is Indobuildtech Jakarta, held annually in June. This event alone attracts more than 33,000 annual visitors and consists of approximately 12,000m2 of exhibition space. Other events in the series include Surabaya, Bandung, Makassar and Bali.

Joining forces with current event owners PT Debindo Unggul Buana Makmur (DUBM), the partnership will ensure ITE continues to deliver well-organized, market leading events for their customers as well as strengthen their market position in Southeast Asia’s largest market — Indonesia.

Indobuildtech Expo will join the ITE Build & Interiors portfolio, which includes events such as MosBuild (Moscow), Yapi – Turkeybuild (Istanbul), KazBuild (Almaty) BakuBuild (Baku) and Acetech (Mumbai).
