Malaysia played host to the Airport Cities Conference and Exhibition in late March 2014.
Now in its 13th year, the expo in Kuala Lumpur attracted senior decision makers representing airports, economic development agencies, financial institutions and other businesses. The conference was hosted by Malaysia Airports.
Adrian Newton, group director of transport and technology, UBM Live, stated the conference provided delegates with unique insights into the industry.
“A unique element of attending this conference is the opportunity for attendees to observe first-hand a major aerotropolis in evolution,” said Newton.
A sample of the conference sessions included discussion on Asian airport cities, understanding stakeholders in airport city developments, and the role of airport cities in urban renewal and economic development, among other topics.
