Formula 1 and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) announced on July 29 an 18-month, $12 million partnership during the Formula 1 Rolex Belgium Grand Prix 2024. The partnership aims to promote Las Vegas as a sports and entertainment destination through branding, fan activations, and hospitality at 15 races over two seasons.

The LVCVA is responsible for marketing Southern Nevada as a leading destination for tourism and business events. The inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, the largest sporting event in the city’s history, attracted a global television audience of 59.3 million and over 316,000 fans, contributing nearly $1.5 billion in economic impact.

Steve Hill, President and CEO of LVCVA, told Exhibit City News, “We are thrilled to elevate Las Vegas’ visibility by becoming an official partner of Formula 1. In recent years, Las Vegas has made tremendous strides in becoming the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World, and partnering with the world’s premier motorsport organization to host the Las Vegas Grand Prix marked a major milestone in that effort. We look forward to working closely with Formula 1 through this new partnership and keeping Las Vegas top of mind for the millions of F1 viewers and fans around the world.”

The partnership will include trackside branding, a website presence, hospitality, and fan activation opportunities. These elements are designed to engage the international Formula 1 audience and promote Las Vegas as a destination.
