The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), charged with marketing Southern Nevada as a tourism and convention destination, is joining the Meetings Mean Business coalition and hotel partners in celebrating the inaugural North American Meetings Industry Day (NAMID) at The LINQ Promenade Fountains on April 16.
To show unity and solidarity, industry leaders from various resorts are coming together for a rally to celebrate the business brand of Las Vegas and honor a long-standing convention client – the National Association of Broadcasters, which produces NAB Show, taking place April 11-16 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
According to the LVCVA, the Las Vegas meetings industry supports 54,000 jobs and generates more than $7 billion to the local economy. The destination offers 150,000 hotel rooms and nearly 11 million square feet of meeting and exhibit space citywide.
LVCVA Chairman of the Board of Directors and Las Vegas Commissioner Lawrence Weekly will be joined by Veronica Nalbandian of Meetings Mean Business coalition and Cathy Tull, senior vice president of marketing, LVCVA, along with executives from Caesars Entertainment, MGM Resorts International, Sands Corporation, Wynn Las Vegas, Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, Golden Nugget, South Point and JW Marriott.
