Las Vegas Updates Track March Show Volume, Tourism Softening, and New Bookings

Las Vegas briefs this month run from show-floor scale to the metrics that sit behind demand. March’s calendar stacks seven tradeshows across the Las Vegas Convention Center and The Venetian Expo, led by CONEXPO-CON/AGG, HIMSS, and ISC West. Year-end data shows visitation and hotel performance cooling in 2025 even as statewide gaming win set another record. On the event side, NADA and MAGIC posted large exhibitor counts, Sphere booked Metallica for eight October dates, and Boyd set a March 5 implosion for Eastside Cannery. The Athletics also reported $300 million spent on ballpark construction at the former Tropicana site.

Las Vegas March Calendar Lists Seven Tradeshows

Las Vegas lists seven March 2026 tradeshows across the Las Vegas Convention Center and The Venetian Expo. The largest by exhibitor count is CONEXPO-CON/AGG at the Las Vegas Convention Center (2,055 exhibitors and 139,110 attendees). Other large March shows include HIMSS at The Venetian Expo (950 exhibitors and 24,337 attendees) and ISC West at The Venetian (731 exhibitors and 29,020 attendees). Bar & Restaurant Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center reported 521 exhibitors and 9,871 attendees. EV Charging Summit & Expo listed 300 exhibitors and 5,000 attendees. World Tea Expo and Healthy Beverage Expo listed 250 exhibitors and 2,500 attendees. International Billiard and Home Recreation Expo listed 132 exhibitors and 2,047 attendees.

Las Vegas Visitor Volume Fell 7.5 Percent in 2025

Las Vegas recorded 38.5 million visitors in 2025, a 7.5 percent decline year over year, or about 3.1 million fewer visitors. Hotel occupancy averaged 80.3 percent, down 3.3 percent. Average daily room rate fell 5.0 percent to $183.52. Revenue per available room fell 8.8 percent to $147.30. Harry Reid International Airport handled nearly 55 million passengers in 2025, down 5.9 percent from 2024. Convention attendance held near six million, roughly in line with 2024.

Nevada Gaming Win Hit $15.8B in 2025 as Las Vegas Visitation Fell

Nevada casinos posted $15.8 billion in gaming win in 2025, up 1.2 percent year over year. Downtown Las Vegas casinos reported $951.2 million, up 2.1 percent. The Las Vegas Strip finished at $8.82 billion, up 0.11 percent and effectively flat. December Strip gaming win totaled $827.7 million, down 6 percent from December 2024.

NADA Show 2026 Ran Feb. 3–6 at LVCC With Record 628 Exhibitors

NADA Show 2026 ran February 3–6 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The expo floor operated February 4–6 in the West and North Halls. NADA listed a record 628 exhibitors, along with more than 100 workshops and education sessions. The schedule also included dealer franchise meetings and main stage programming across the four-day run.

MAGIC and PROJECT SOURCING at MAGIC Las Vegas Ran Feb. 17–19 at LVCC

MAGIC Las Vegas and PROJECT SOURCING at MAGIC ran February 17–19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. ECN’s Tradeshow Calendar lists 1,260 exhibitors and 24,553 attendees across the combined events. The Fashion by Informa Slate also grouped cross-shopping with adjacent shows under the same Las Vegas run.

HOTELS CASINOS

Eastside Cannery Implosion Set for March 5

Boyd Gaming will implode the shuttered Eastside Cannery Casino-hotel at 2 a.m. Thursday, March 5. The demolition will not be a public event, and the company said it will not provide public viewing areas around the property. Eastside Cannery, on Boulder Highway at Harmon Avenue, opened in 2008 and has remained closed since March 2020. Boyd acquired Cannery Casino Resorts in 2016, adding Eastside Cannery to its portfolio. Boyd confirmed in October it was in talks to sell the site for residential use.

Bellagio Conservatory Ran Lunar New Year Display for Year of the Horse

Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens staged a Lunar New Year 2026 installation themed to the Year of the Horse. The display included scheduled dragon and lion dance performances and tied-in food and beverage offerings across the property. Bellagio’s conservatory remains free and open to the public 24 hours a day.

Metallica Books Eight Shows at Sphere in October 2026

Metallica will play an eight-show residency at Sphere on October 1, 3, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, and 31, 2026. The run is billed as “Life Burns Faster.” The dates follow the band’s “No Repeat Weekend” format, with different setlists across paired shows. Tickets go on sale March 6 at 10:00 a.m. PT, with presales scheduled in the days ahead.

Guy Laliberté Lists Frooogs Camp RV Festival Assets for Sale

Cirque du Soleil co-founder Guy Laliberté is selling Frooogs Camp, a roving arts camp built around more than 30 custom RVs. The package is being marketed as a single-transaction sale, with the current Frooogs team available to continue operations. The assets include Laliberté’s customized 2023 Thor Chateau 31Ev, listed at $99,500. Frooogs Camp has appeared at Burning Man and Camp EDC and served as a media center during the Super Bowl in 2024. The camp’s RVs are being listed through Facebook Marketplace.

A’s Report $300M Spent on Las Vegas Ballpark, Steel Work Set for March

The Athletics reported $300 million in ballpark construction spending at the former Tropicana site as of mid-February. Team vice chairman Sandy Dean said owner equity has covered costs so far. The $2 billion project plan includes up to $380 million in public funding, a $300 million construction loan, and additional equity. The team said it has not drawn on the loan or public funds yet. Executives listed March as the start of major steel work. The stadium remains scheduled to open in 2028. The stadium tax district generated $1.2 million as of November, driven mainly by construction-related sales and use taxes. The A’s also outlined a personal seat license program tied to premium seating, with final terms expected March 4.

Bob Taylor’s Ranch House Wins 2026 James Beard America’s Classics Award

Bob Taylor’s Ranch House received a 2026 America’s Classics award from the James Beard Foundation. The steakhouse opened in 1955 as the Ranch House Supper Club and is widely cited as Las Vegas’s oldest continuously operating restaurant. The restaurant will be recognized at the James Beard Awards ceremony in Chicago on June 15, 2026. Peppermill Restaurant and Fireside Lounge was the other Las Vegas recipient, winning America’s Classics in 2024.
