London-based venue hires account executive from Canada

Barbican, Europe’s largest combined conference and arts venue, strengthened its business events team with the appointment of an account executive.

Tanya Senecha will handle business events inquiries and represent Barbican at tradeshows and industry events. Account development will be key to her day-to-day duties as she builds contacts and revenue growth.

“Working for such an iconic venue in the heart of London is a fantastic opportunity for me,” stated Senecha. “Barbican is internationally recognized, and I have already learnt so much about the industry in a short space of time. I joined a business events team that has already had much success, but I look forward to the challenge of marketing Barbican on the international stage and continuing to maintain its prominent position within the industry.”

Before moving to London to take up her new role with Barbican, Senecha was an events coordinator based in Canada.

“The business events team is ever-growing, and Tanya will be crucial as we continue growing Barbican’s presence as one of London’s premier meeting and events venues,” commented Oliver Hargreaves, deputy head of sales, Barbican. “We have a prominent position in the business events market, but Tanya’s enthusiasm and experience will only serve to help us as we grow both domestically and internationally.”
