LVCC welcomes non-traditional summer shows

The Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) is home to some of the biggest tradeshows in the U.S. and across the world – International CES, CONEXPO-CON/AGG, SEMA and World of Concrete, to name a few. During the scorching summer months, however, the No. 1 Resort Destination for tradeshows hosts less traditional events within its 2 million square feet of exhibit space.

Jam On It brought basketball enthusiasts and their families to Las Vegas from May 23-25. A total of 36 basketball courts were set up in the exhibit halls for basketball players aged 5 through 18.

MAGIC: The Gathering is part of the Grand Prix portfolio of events, welcoming approximately 11,000 attendees for a four-day player competition from May 28-31.

Rolling through Las Vegas June 22-26 will be the International Bowl Expo, produced by the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America. The premier tradeshow for the bowling industry, Bowl Expo will be celebrating its 83rd year.

USA Table Tennis will host the 2015 US Open from July 6-11. Known informally as the “Superbowl” of tennis, the event will receive 1,000 players and coaches at LVCC.

Originally to be held at the Riviera Resort on July 22-26, the first RollerCon will move to LVCC and the Westgate Resort for its original worldwide roller derby convention. Around 1,000 skaters are expected at this premiere event.

Dubbed the “Ultimate Fan Experience,” the second annual Box Fan Expo will return to LVCC during Mexican Independence weekend on Sept. 12. A public meet and greet for boxing fans, the event is expected to coincide with a major boxing fight event.

Mr. Olympia 2015 will take over LVCC from Sept. 17-20 as bodybuilders compete for the coveted title, once held by actor and former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger.
