LVCVA Welcomes Four New Sales Leaders

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has welcomed four new sales leaders to help market and sell Las Vegas as the premier meeting and event destination and grow meeting, convention and tradeshow sales for the destination and the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC).

Rebecca DeLuca, CMP, Vice President of Destination Sales

(Featured image) As Vice President of Destination Sales, Rebecca will oversee the sales and marketing efforts of the Destination Sales team to drive meeting and convention business to Las Vegas.

Rebecca joins the LVCVA from Caesars Entertainment, where she was Director of Key Accounts and Strategic Partnerships, leading the team responsible for driving third-party sales strategy. She has also held positions with the LVCVA, MGM Resorts International, Gaylord Hotels and Cardinal Health.

In addition to her robust sales and marketing experience, Rebecca is a highly collaborative leader who brings a proven track record of strengthening customer relationships, curating compelling marketing initiatives and launching strategic partnerships.

David Sargent, Senior Director of Trade Show and Convention Sales

David will work to create new opportunities for meetings, conventions, incentives and trade show markets. Based in Chicago, he will represent the LVCVA domestically and internationally and work with various stakeholders, including Las Vegas resort and mission partners, to boost attendance at events in the destination.

David brings more than 30 years of sales and marketing experience to the LVCVA. He has held leadership positions at major hotels in New York City and Chicago, as well as at Freeman and at destination marketing organizations including Choose Chicago and Visit Orlando.

Mai Lim, Director of Intermediary Sales

Mai will lead and grow meeting, convention and tradeshow sales for Las Vegas and the LVCC, while driving business opportunities to the LVCVA’s resort and mission partners. She will direct sales strategy to drive leads and room nights for meetings and conventions into Las Vegas and oversee retention and growth from key intermediary customers such as HelmsBriscoe, ConferenceDirect
, Maritz Global Events and HPN.

Mai joins the LVCVA from Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI), where as Director of Global Sales she cultivated new business and generated leads for more than 250 independent luxury hotels all over the globe. A veteran hotelier for more than 20 years, Mai has held a variety of sales leadership roles at MGM Resorts International and Station Casinos in Las Vegas and at Viejas Casino and Resort in San Diego.

Jon Watson, National Sales Manager

Based in Washington D.C., Jon will promote Las Vegas to the LVCVA’s mid-Atlantic based customers while supporting the agency’s mission through lead generation and regional account development. He will also build and maintain client relationships that create business opportunities for the Authority’s mission partners.

Jon joins the LVCVA from Caesars Entertainment, where he spent eight years as a National Sales Manager successfully leveraging industry relationships to bring new business to Las Vegas. Jon has also held sales positions at Destination DC and Hargrove, Inc., and at global gaming and hospitality brands including Marriott International and Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
