Exhibit City News has announced Marlena Sullivan has joined them as their new Digital Editor. Sullivan has just returned to Las Vegas after living abroad for two years. Having recently completed her Masters in Creative Writing in Scotland, for the past five years Sullivan had been putting her Bachelors in Theatre and Business to use working in production. She’s looking at completing her Doctorate in Creative Writing in the future.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Sullivan has attended local tradeshows and conventions for years. She has attended a variety of book and gaming conventions throughout a variety of states and cities. She is excited to learn more about what the tradeshow industry has to offer.
“I’m stoked to begin working at Exhibit City News,” Sullivan says. “Everyone has welcomed me with open arms and I can’t wait to see what the future holds in store for me.”
Sullivan has worked on short films, live concerts, fundraisers and various public events across the Vegas valley. She loves cats and producing and planning community non-profit events including fundraisers, free public concerts, and community festivals.
“One of my Editing and Publication Professors at the University of Glasgow always believed that his students would get published or work in publishing. My friends thought he was too hopeful,” Sullivan laughs. “Turns out he was just the right amount of hopeful.”
The whole team is optimistic about the change and what Sullivan can offer to the team. Don Svehla, publisher and founder of Exhibit City News, thinks that Sullivan has the temperament and drive to push Exhibit City News to new heights. “We are thrilled to add Marlena to our editorial team. The talents she brings to our efforts will enhance our capabilities and benefit our readers and followers.”
