Mobile, AL – Oak View Group (OVG), the global leader in venue development, management, and hospitality, today announced key leadership appointments across its venue management portfolio in Mobile, Alabama, including the Mobile Convention Center, the Saenger Theatre, and the Mobile Arena currently under development.
Matthew Bryant, a 30-year hospitality veteran with experience spanning convention centers, luxury resorts, waterparks, and large-scale food service operations, has been named General Manager of the Mobile Convention Center. Bryant previously served as Chair of Traverse City Tourism and Treasurer of the Saugatuck Convention and Visitors Bureau in Michigan, where he championed initiatives that strengthened local tourism economies and destination branding. He has also held senior executive roles with nationally recognized hospitality brands and venues, including the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, Embassy Suites Nashville SE, and the Sheraton Grand Rapids Airport. Known for his focus on operational excellence, innovation, and regional collaboration, Bryant will lead the continued evolution of the venue as a premier destination for meetings and events.
Joining him to oversee operations at the Convention Center is Alphonse Stalliard, Director of Events, who will lead client services, coordination and execution.

At the Saenger Theatre, Theatre Director Kelly Haven continues to lead operations for one of downtown Mobile’s most beloved cultural landmarks. The General Manager for the Mobile Arena will be announced at a later date.
Additional leadership roles supporting all three venues include: Victor Knott, General Manager of Hospitality; Ashley Kirk, Director of Human Resources; Davis Walker, Director of Partnerships & Premium; and Hannah Pierce, Director of Marketing. Together, they bring a combined depth of expertise across hospitality, partnerships, operations, and event management.
