Mazatlan, Puerto Morelos Win World Travel Awards

El Cid Resorts announced that Mazatlán and Puerto Morelos in Riviera Maya shined internationally by winning the “World Travel Awards 2019”, well known as the Oscars of the travel industry that celebrate destinations worldwide in different categories.

Mazatlán is now the best destination of México and Central America for winning in the category, “Mexico & Central America’s Leading City Destination 2019.” This is the second time that the Pearl of the Pacific has been awarded with this distinction.

In the Mexican Caribbean, the enchanting fishing village of Puerto Morelos won as a “Mexico’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination 2019” for offering the best activities and fun for all ages.

World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries.
