Gary Benson, CEO of MC2, an exhibit, event and environment company based in New York, has announced today the acquisition of a longtime strategic partner, proFair GmbH of Dusseldorf, Germany. The new entity will be known as “proFair – An MC2 Company.”
The strategy behind combining the companies is to provide international clients with the advantages of having a single provider on each side of the Atlantic.
“Our previous relationship with proFair did not provide the full breadth of benefits our clients require to execute international programs” said Benson. “By becoming one company, we will connect both continents with the superior service both MC2 and proFair are known for while managing both international and domestic programs with a single account team.
Jens Falkenberg, proFair’s managing director and founding partner, also commented on the acquisition by MC2.
“We now have the ability to take our European clients to the U.S. markets without a hand-off —same team, same product and competitive pricing,” said Falkenburg. “We all win with this arrangement as this opens doors for us, our clients and the international business community. And now, we have the power of MC2’s employees, locations and fabrication and storage capabilities.”
proFair is also aligned with numerous suppliers and professional associations throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
“Our combined strength will be obvious and immediate to our clients and prospects: a deeper talent pool, local purchasing and supervision, brand consistency, greater utility of properties and, of course, the economy of a single source,” said Benson.
MC2 now has 12 locations in the U.S. and Germany.
