The Meetings Show opened July 8, welcoming the UK’s largest gathering of UK and international meetings and events professionals.
This year’s show has reported numbers of 731 registered hosted buyers and 460 exhibitors as well as a 20 percent increase in floor space from 2013.
“This is a fantastic achievement,” said Steve Knight, event director, The Meetings Show. “The Meetings Show is clearly a must attend event for buyers and exhibitors from around the world.
“I am extremely proud of the fact that we are facilitating more than 10,000 separate, pre-scheduled appointments this year, bringing individuals and organizations together to develop relationships, grow business and create success.”
The Meetings Show’s 2014 program commenced on July 7 with The Association Meetings Conference at The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, followed by the hosted buyer welcome reception at The Science Museum, London, where more than 400 people gathered including hosted buyers, attendees from the Association Meetings Conference and VIPs.
