Meetings Technology Expo coming to New York

Meeting professionals from many industry sectors will convene for the 14th Meetings Technology Expo (MTE) in Midtown, Manhattan this Sept.17 at the Holiday Inn 57th Street.

The event features expert technology speakers, 17 CMP and CAE -accredited educational sessions, 28 technology demos and hands-on opportunities with event tech vendors. MTE organizers focused on creating an event that addressed questions about emerging technology trends and how meetings professionals can implement new solutions in their everyday professional life.

“We are witnessing technology progressing toward a leaner, more mobile and efficient method of capturing, delivering and integrating all kinds of data before, during and after events,” said Paul Paone, founder and show director, MTE. “There are so many innovative tech offerings these days; planners need a focused forum where they can seek the help they need in navigating through all the options, to find what will work for them and their overall event plan.”

Eric Ly, a LinkedIn co-founder, will give the keynote address, discussing “Full-Circle Audience Engagement” and how the Internet can keep planners and attendees connected after an event. Ly was formerly the chief technology officer of LinkedIn, a social networking website for business professionals. He left the company to develop Presdo Match, which creates online event communities.

Featured CMP/CAE accredited educational seminars include sessions on social media metrics, mobile event applications, emerging technologies, event marketing, crowdsourcing, strategic meetings management, site selection, virtual/hybrid technology, gamification, data mining, event technology integration and several more.
