metroConnections announces key promotions and new-hires

metroConnections Inc., an event, stage production and transportation services firm, has announced several new personnel changes for the firm.


“As we continue to grow as a firm, our leadership has strengthened with the addition of these exceptional individuals,” said David Graves, president, metroConnections. “We hold these employees in high regard for their passion and excellent customer service.”

The following team members have accepted new roles and responsibilities within the firm:

• Andrea Hansen was promoted to director of event services. She has been with the firm since 2004 and previously served in several coordinator and management roles. In her new role, Hansen will be responsible for the management of target accounts within event services and will oversee the account-management team to ensure consistency and open communications. Further, she will serve as lead-trainer for new-hires in the event services division.
• Rachel Kuehne has been promoted to program manager, event services. Kuehne has been in the industry for the past one and a half years and was promoted from previous role as event coordinator. She will be working directly with clients as well as managing accounts as needed.
• Bill Sather has been promoted to senior technical director, production services, where he will be responsible for the management and oversight of all technical aspects of meetings and events. During his 10 years with metroConnections, he has been a production manager and technical director.
• Rachel Schuler has been promoted to registration lead, “Attend-eSource” services, where she will be responsible for working with conference-service programs and attendees. She will apply her five years of industry experience in this new role for housing management, online registration quality control, preparing client data reports, production and design of conference name badges, fielding questions and email requests from attendees and providing onsite support and materials. Schuler holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud State University and volunteers for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
• Promoted to program manager, event services, Sydney Wolf has been with metroConnections as an event coordinator and event-services intern. Her responsibilities will include proposal development, increased client management, event logistics management, and a continued role in scheduling and managing staff for events/production and casino. Wolf earned bachelor’s degree from Johnson & Wales University.

metroConnections also has welcomed two new-hires. Joining the metroConnections team are Bryenne Albright as the new Attend-eSource account manager and Andrew Kurcan as technical director, production services.

Albright has experience with project coordination, communications and event planning for several major corporate brands. She will be responsible for managing client relations, communication and timeline and expectations. Albright will oversee the conference website build process, including collection of content and branding guidelines, quality control/proofing of websites, and collaborating with the web-design team to provide quality website and/or online registration for clients.

Kurcan will be responsible for delivering exceptional experiences through stage, audio and visual presentations. With 15 years of experience in concert, radio, television, event, hotel audio-visual and photographic production, his expertise ranges from small studios to arena-scale media and event production. Kurcan earned a master’s degree from Bemidji State University.

Since 1984, metroConnections has provided conference, event, stage production and transportation services for meeting and event planners nationwide. The company operates from its headquarters in Minneapolis and produces more than 1,400 programs per year.
