Nimlok Chicago was recognized by The Business Ledger, a business newspaper for suburban Chicago, at an evening reception on March 18 at the Danada House in Wheaton, Ill. The Annual Awards for Business Excellence are given annually for business achievement and growth as well as community involvement.

The Business Ledger recognizes a variety of companies and institutions with the award including small-, mid-, and large-sized companies as well as educational institutions and notable not-for-profits among many others. Nimlok Chicago took home the award for small size company.

Nimlok Chicago owner Deb Venable thanked Nalco, a long time business partner and the company that nominated Nimlok Chicago for the award.

“We are truly honored with this award and thank Nalco for nominating us,” Venable said. “Nalco has been a strong business partner of ours for over 12 years and we thank them for all they have done for us.”

During the last 20 years, local businesses have been recognized and honored by The Business Ledger. This year’s event kicked off with a reception hour followed by the keynote speaker for the evening, Daniel L. Goodwin, CEO and chairman of The Inland Real Estate Group Inc, a commercial real estate and investment company. He inspired the group with this story of being a teacher turned business owner.
