National Restaurant Association Cancels May Show in Chicago

The National Restaurant Association has just released a statement that says:

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the state of Illinois has placed an order in effect until early June limiting gatherings to no more than 50 people. While this order could be modified prior to expiration, McCormick Place has indicated their ability to re-open for large events is currently prohibited by the state regulation and they do not anticipate changes prior to June that would allow an event of our size and scope to occur in May. Therefore, we regret to announce the cancellation of the 2021 National Restaurant Association Show due to the unavailability of the facility.

While we can’t meet in-person just yet, we’re committed to supporting the foodservice community through this time of transformation and new challenges. We’re dialing up our free digital resources. We’re making it easier to find the products and partners you need to reimagine your business right now and prepare for what’s ahead, with The Show To Go. And we are, above all, here for you. Join us in tackling unknowns, preparing for the better days ahead, and looking forward to the next Show—which will take place May 21-24, 2022.”
