On February 10, Nevada governor Steve Sisolak announced an immediate end to the state’s mask mandate, regardless of vaccine status. We reached out to several tradeshow industry players in Nevada to get their take on the governor’s decision. This is what they had to say:
“Across the board, companies we partner with have been expressing their frustration with the inconsistencies of show managers as they plan, cancel or delay their shows, or make restrictions that are so tough that people don’t know whether to go. So we see as a very positive move going forward that allows people to stop, take a breath and plan positively for shows and events going forward. I think it’s great for everybody.” — Mike McDaniel, Electric Sky Fabrications
“I think it’s wonderful that individuals are being given the freedom to choose whether or not to wear a mask.” — Alison Wainwright, Las Vegas Mannequins
“We appreciate Governor Sisolak’s leadership in working with his medical advisory team and analyzing data to allow the state to rescind the mask mandate.” — Lori Nelson-Kraft, LVCVA
“We are excited about and support decisions that indicate movement toward normalcy.” — Rhiannon Andersen, Steelhead Productions
