The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) announced New Orleans will be the host city for Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition to be held Dec. 11-13, 2018, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The annual meeting is the single, face-to-face event offering an abundance of education sessions and networking opportunities created specifically for exhibitions and events industry professionals.
“Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition is a must attend event and New Orleans is a must visit destination, so it’s a great combination,” said 2014 IAEE Chairperson Skip Cox. “That New Orleans will be celebrating its tricentennial makes for an exciting event to look forward to.”

New Orleans is excited to be the host city for Expo! Expo! 2018 and will be celebrating other developments as well.

“We are thrilled to welcome thousands of key players in the exhibitions and events industry to New Orleans for Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition in 2018. New Orleans is no stranger to hosting large industry events. Much like we did in 2010, we can’t wait to roll out the red carpet for our friends, colleagues and partners as we celebrate our tricentennial and complete major projects, such as a new, state-of-the-art airport,” said Stephen Perry, president and CEO, New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau.

IAEE’s selection process usually begins more than three years prior to the event and proposals are requested from visitor/convention bureaus. Evaluated are the submissions based on general venue appeal, management of the sales process, center and housing package, access to air transportation and level of support toward IAEE’s commitment to its constituents. These criteria are greatly reviewed by the IAEE board of directors and staff, and then the selected city is announced.

“We couldn’t be more excited for Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition’s return to New Orleans in 2018 when we celebrate the city’s 300th birthday and for the attendees to see the changes at the convention center since convening here in 2010,” said Bob Johnson, general manager, New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Events and exhibitions industry professionals are given the opportunity at Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition to interact face-to-face with decision makers in a unique environment where industry leaders meet with their peers to become educated on how to increase the profit potential of their organizations’ exhibitions and events, to produce more successful events and to enhance their professional development and business partnerships.

This year’s Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition will be held Dec. 9-11, 2014, in Los Angeles.
