Nth Degree announces growth of event management team

Nth Degree, an Atlanta-based full-service global event marketing and management company, is continuing to develop its event marketing services team nationwide with the key additions of seven team members over the past several months. These seasoned and talented individuals join a team of event management professionals across the country, offering services from space and sponsorship sales to event strategy, marketing and management for its clients.

“I am very happy that through our efforts to continue to foster current relationships and form new relationships with key players such as EMC Corporation and VMware Inc., we’ve seen our business expand,” said Robert Lowe, vice president, event architect, Nth Degree Event Marketing. “This positive growth has given us the opportunity to enhance our event management team in order to support our clients’ increasing needs and continue development of the Event Marketing Services division.”

Kara Foley

The new team members are:

Kara Foley’s role as a senior project manager for Nth Degree will include event and project management. This new role is a natural progression from managing various conventions, tradeshows and events for United Business Media where she was a senior operations manager of tradeshows and events for the company’s events portfolio. Foley is based in Nth Degree’s San Mateo, Calif., office.

Dan Brown

Dan Brown

Also in San Mateo, Dan Brown brings more than 11 years of marketing and communications experience to his role as a marketing manager for Nth Degree. During his time at Mulberry Marketing Communications in London and San Francisco, Brown was responsible for the implementation of all marketing activities on behalf of clients such as Quantum Retail, Cameleon Software, Nuix, Sensear, Palo Alto Software and University of Phoenix Research Institute.

Stan Bender

Stan Bender

Stan Bender is a senior event manager and will focus on strategic planning and project management for Nth Degree’s experiential marketing customers, based in the company’s San Mateo office. He is an Nth Degree veteran of seven years. His project management experience includes exhibition projects for clients such as Jaguar and Land Rover for Concours d’Elegance, HP Summits, and KitchenAid at the Pebble Beach Food and Wine Event. Bender is also experienced with pre-show estimating and planning, and the recruitment and training of Nth Degree team members.

Jen Kavanaugh

Jen Kavanaugh

In their San Diego office, Jennifer Kavanaugh brings more than 10 years of experience to her new role as a marketing manager for Nth Degree’s event clients. She was most recently employed as a project manager for Do Good Marketing Inc. in New Jersey and has experience in business-to-business advertising and marketing and event planning. Kavanaugh supported her clients with project management, media and vendor relations, print and broadcast production and traffic, event coordination, scheduling and budget management.

Elizabeth McVety

Elizabeth McVety

Elizabeth McVety will serve as a project manager for Nth Degree’s experiential marketing customers and will also be responsible for education management for various clients. She worked as an Event Planner for Dassault Systems SolidWorks Corporation prior to joining the Nth Degree team. McVety began her seven-year career at SolidWorks managing its corporate tradeshows and ultimately focused her talents as an event planner for the company’s internal events and corporate meetings. She is based in Nth Degree’s Boston office.

 

Larry Ecklund

Larry Ecklund

Larry Ecklund’s new role will be focused on space and sponsorship sales for Nth Degree. Ecklund’s most recent position was as a sales manager-contractor at George P. Johnson, where he was responsible for sponsor, exhibitor and marketing opportunity sales for the Dreamforce conference, both domestically and internationally. He has a strong background in high-tech sales and management encompassing more than 17 years in business development, and is based in Nth Degree’s Boston office.

 

Bethany Porrazzo

Bethany Porrazzo

Also based in Boston, Bethany Porrazzo will focus on space and sponsorship sales for Nth Degree’s event marketing clients. Porrazzo joined the Nth Degree team with a diverse sales background working in client-focused roles such as her most recent position as a client services manager for Gartner Inc., where she developed intimate knowledge of clients’ businesses and industries to drive usage and value-added transactions in support of their current and future projects.
