An experienced manager from within the ranks of NürnbergMesse who was previously the director guest events & event scheduling is now the executive director guest events & congresses.
NürnbergMesse has appointed Jan Gerrit Ebener as new executive director guest events & congresses. Ebener and his team are responsible for around one-quarter of the revenue of NürnbergMesse – over 204 million euros last year.
“The appointment of Ebener will also ensure that guest organizers receive outstanding support and feel at home here in the future, and thus contribute substantially to the successful portfolio of events at the Nürnberg exhibition and congress venue,” said Dr. Roland Fleck, one of the two managing directors of NürnbergMesse.
In his position as executive director, Ebener will also continue to promote and expand the development of the Nürnberg congress venue.
Ebener started his career at NürnbergMesse 12 years ago. He has been director guest events & event scheduling since May 2005. In this position, the business management graduate was responsible for operational support for all guest events and a number of smaller congresses with accompanying exhibition, and for scheduling events for the entire exhibition site with the associated congress centres.
“Ebener has the specialist knowledge, the necessary professional experience and the degree of creativity to successfully counter the special challenges in the Guest Events & Congresses segment,” said Fleck. “He possesses a high level of identification with NürnbergMesse.
