Construction Underway on Oak View Group’s Newest 18,000-Seat Multi-Purpose Entertainment and Sports Arena in Hamilton, ON

Toronto, ON – In an effort to secure more live events for its Canadian Alliance members, Oak View Group, the global leader in live experience venue development, management, premium hospitality services, and 360-degree solutions, today named Alex Patton as Senior Director of Booking, Canadian Alliance. Based in the OVG Canada office in Toronto, Patton will report to Tom Pistore, OVG Canada President, and Joe Giordano, Vice President of OVG Stadium, Arena, and Theatre Alliance.
In her new role, Patton will be spearheading Oak View Group’s strategy to significantly enhance live event programming and content development for the Canadian Arena Alliance, OVG-managed Canadian entertainment and sports properties, and Hamilton Arena, the 18,000-seat arena undergoing renovations in Hamilton, ON scheduled to reopen in late 2025.
“Alex’s enthusiasm for live music, entrepreneurial mindset, and extensive network make her an invaluable asset for driving new bookings at our Canadian properties,” said Pistore. “With her industry relationships and experience, Alex will direct the expansion of live event programming across Canada, as well as lead event bookings for our latest venue development property in Hamilton. Patton joins Oak View Group as an accomplished leader in the Canadian music industry with 15 years of booking experience at renowned organizations, including Live Nation, Endeavor, and The Agency Group. With a successful track record of booking diverse events from arenas to festivals, she is particularly adept at creating influential brand strategies that inspire and drive new business opportunities. Her expertise also lies in developing strategic partnerships with top agents, venues, and promoters.
Giordano added, “Alex will be instrumental in fostering a cohesive Alliance community in Canada by facilitating information sharing and centralizing data. Her expertise will be vital in identifying revenue opportunities and helping our venues enhance the fan experience.”
Patton has extensive experience in curating and booking over 15 live music festival lineups including prominent Canadian festivals like Boots & Hearts, WayHome Music & Arts, NXNE, and Toronto Jazz Fest, among others. Her booking experience spans intimate clubs to large-scale arenas, with a broad network of relationships across the industry.
She is actively involved in key industry organizations, and supports the Juno Awards’ Music Voting Committee, Canadian Music Week’s Live Steering Committee & D.E.I Board, and the Canadian Country Music Association. She has been nominated for Talent Buyer of the Year by the Canadian Live Music Industry.
