Next year’s Ocean Energy Europe Conference & Exhibition (OEE2023) will take place in The Hague, the Netherlands.
OEE2023 will bring together 400 attendees, including ocean technology developers, decision-makers, supply chain partners and researchers from around the world to share the latest news from the world of ocean energy, whilst defining the future direction of the sector. Ocean Energy Europe Conference & Exhibition has grown to be the leading European event on ocean energy since first launching in 2013.
The Hague Convention Bureau worked with The Dutch Marine Energy Centre (DMEC) and the Municipality of The Hague, to bring the conference to the “City by the Sea”.
Rémi Gruet, CEO of Ocean Energy Europe adds, “We are excited to be taking our annual event to The Netherlands for the first time. The Dutch ocean energy sector has gone from strength to strength in recent years, so now is the right moment to bring ocean energy professionals from around the world here to see it for themselves. OEE2023 delegates can look forward to a real insight into the sector’s successes both at home and abroad, combined with plenty of networking opportunities.”
The Hague, as an impact city, offers opportunities to connect with stakeholders and communities at the forefront of renewable and sustainable energy. The city is the political capital of the Netherlands, home base for many embassies, industry partners and the Marine Energy Hub. Hosting this conference and exhibition is a great opportunity for local and international industry leaders to meet policy makers and address pressing topics.
Britta Schaffmeister, CEO of DMEC, says, “We are thrilled to welcome ocean energy stakeholders from all over the world to The Hague. The Dutch Marine Energy Community is looking forward to showcasing best practices, sharing insights in approaches towards the blue economy and to strengthening relationships during a wide variety of activities. We are grateful to receive full support from local, regional and national public authorities, reflecting the ambition to take the next steps towards a net zero future.”
Bas Schot, Head of The Hague Convention Bureau, concludes, “This event once again demonstrates The Hague’s ability to attract leading conventions and conferences to our city. OEE2023 will place us at the heart of one of the world’s most exciting and important industries and we look forward to welcoming the attendees as they make the most of our vibrant and exciting city.”
