Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority, owner and operator of Greater Columbus Convention Center, will soon search for a successor to its executive director.
With the Authority since January 1995, Bill Jennison announced he was leaving his post after Jan. 25 – not too long after his 20th anniversary with the convention center. He added that he planned to stay involved in community developments but declined to explain his exit.
A respected leader, Jennison oversaw many milestones within Columbus. This includes the opening, and expansion, of the convention center and other associated properties.
Authority officials said they are hoping to have a new executive director in place by Feb. 1 and will conduct a national search to do so.
