Convention Sales Professionals International (CSPI) started 2012 energized by a new name, new focus and now, a new leader.
The association welcomed Cathy Keller, director of sales for the Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau, as its new board president at the recent CSPI Annual Conference, February 26-27, 2012, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
Keller previously served as the First Vice President and Membership Chair prior to this appointment. She succeeds Yulita Osuba, senior sales director at the Orange County Convention Center, as president and will serve a one year term. Her goal is to lead an association focused on its members and their needs.
“Our goal is to have each member fully engaged and connected within this association and the resources it provides,” says Keller. “With our new brand and overall membership structure, it’s an exciting time to be involved with this energized association.”
Formerly known as the Association for Convention Sales and Marketing Executives (ACME), CSPI’s mission is to enhance the collaboration and partnership between sales professionals of convention centers and destination marketing organizations by delivering education, developing best practices and tracking industry trends worldwide.
