Orbus donates to St. Baldrick’s Foundation on St. Patrick’s Day

Orbus Exhibit & Display Group, one of North America’s leading trade suppliers of display, exhibit and event solutions, donated hundreds of dollars to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, fighting childhood cancer. The company raised $800 through the internal sale of “Shamrock Grams” and donations, and an additional corporate contribution brought the total to $1,000. All funds were donated to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation General Fund.

During the year, Orbus endeavors to support national charities, as well as those local to its two manufacturing and production facilities in Las Vegas and Woodridge, Ill.

“Giving back is an important part of our goal to positively impact the charities that the Orbus team is passionate about,” said Giles Douglas, president and CEO, Orbus.

During the week of March 9, Orbus employees had the chance to purchase Shamrock Grams to send to fellow employees or give a standard donation to St. Baldrick’s. Shamrock Grams, a way to send a smile or “Thank You” with a sweet treat to a coworker, were distributed throughout the company on St. Patrick’s Day.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation provides funding to hospitals, researchers, the training of new researchers and supportive care research to combat childhood cancer. While the foundation accepts donations throughout the year, it typically sees an uptick around St. Patrick’s Day as groups, organizations and communities around the country link fundraising with the holiday.
