Orbus Exhibit & Display Group (Orbus), a leading trade supplier of display, exhibit and event solutions, announced Nov. 14 that it has been recertified to the G7 IDEAlliance Master Print Specification through June 2015. Orbus’ graphics production includes 19 state-of-the-art printers at two manufacturing and production facilities in Woodridge, Ill., and Las Vegas.
First achieved in July 2010, Orbus was among one of the first tradeshow industry companies to attain the G7 Master Print specification. Each year, the company is re-evaluated and recertified by the IDEAlliance for excelling in implementing the G7 Proof-to-Print process. The process allows Orbus to constantly provide accurate color matching and print consistency across all print devices, systems and geographic regions.
“Being recertified to a G7 Master Printing level is a huge benefit for our graphics production process, and allows us to provide clients with the highest quality printed graphics, no matter what device they are printed on,” said Jaime Herand, vice president and director of group graphic operations, Orbus.
“Producing a consistent visual appearance across all of our printing options, from UV to dye-sub to solvent has been very important to us to maintain uniformity across locations and product lines for a superior end-result for clients.”
Several Orbus printing professionals are certified to the G7 Professional designation, indicating that the certified party is an in-house quality or technical professional in the printing process. G7 Professionals undergo a training and exam process in order to become certified. Certified printing professionals ensure quality standards are met during the printing process.
