Outdoor Retailer signs new contract with Freeman

Outdoor Retailer has announced that it has signed an agreement with tradeshow services provider Freeman to be the general service contractor for its twice-a-year tradeshow in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Outdoor Retailer awarded the contract to Freeman through 2016, based on Freeman’s commitment to customer service and award-winning technology solutions.

“With Freeman’s record of customer service and innovation, I’m confident we’ll continue to improve the effectiveness of Outdoor Retailer,” said Kenji Haroutunian, OR show director. “Exhibitors will have a better experience during move-in and move-out, and enjoy increased communication by taking advantage of several new and innovative services available to them.”

Beginning with the January 2012 Winter Market show, exhibitors will have access to several new services and tools, including Freeman’s pre-order calculator, a simplified budgeting tool that helps identify ways to save through package offerings. Freeman’s award-winning Concierge Elite allows exhibitors to manage their booths by tracking freight, logging requests, viewing order status and even checking out of the show from their Smartphone or tablet.

Furthermore, the contract with Freeman will result in lower costs for exhibitors by eliminating financial penalties on returned or canceled orders for standard items and weight certificate fees. Exhibitors will also have access to dedicated crews for last-minute adjustments, and an on-site phone number for questions and assistance.

“Improving the exhibitor experience through service and innovation has been the hallmark of Freeman,” said Joe Popolo, Freeman CEO. “Outdoor Retailer exhibitors will be the true barometer of Freeman’s performance.”
