Managing directors of Ovation Global DMC, Padraic Gilligan and Patrick Delaney, have earned their Destination Management Certified Professional (DMCP) accreditation from the Association of Destination Management Executives (ADME). Both were named in the February 2012 class list unveiled by the association this week.
The DMCP certification is awarded to candidates who have demonstrated a professional level of knowledge, involvement and accountability within the destination management industry.
“Having served in the meetings industry for almost twenty years, I have no doubt that the level of professionalism is higher than ever,” said Gilligan. “Accreditations such as the DMCP really change the way DMCs are viewed, they are the due diligence that clients demand.”
“Ongoing education is vital if DMCs are to drive standards of excellence and be accepted as credible partners,” said Delaney. “We all have our part to play and it was important for Padraic and I to enhance Ovation’s competitive advantage by attaining the DMCP designation.”
