Attracting over 500 movers and shakers from the events industry, the 2013 Conference and Incentive Travel (C&IT) Excellence Awards took place on Sept. 27 in London.
Recognized as the ‘Best Destination Management Company 2013’, Ovation Global DMC, the destination services division of MCI, won the coveted accolade for that category.
“To win any award for your work is always special, but to be recognized by such a large panel of industry experts is extra special,” said Aoife Delaney, director of global sales, Ovation. “The judging panel was a ‘who’s who’ of industry personalities, so we’re extremely proud of this win. Before choosing the winning candidate, 17 judges considered social responsibility, logistical excellence and seamless execution across multiple destinations and three specific projects run by local Ovation offices.
Ovation is a DMC unparalleled in its grasp of the needs of conference and incentive planners, according to the panel.
