IAPCO’s national seminar in Wolfsberg drew over 500 years’ experience: 210 years from participants and the faculty members added more than 300 years.
This experience enabled participants to question, discuss and probe the faculty presentations achieving vision for the future. The trend took a definite “Before, During and After” theme. The different lectures focused on the new format of congresses and their longevity.
“No-one doubts that the format of meetings is changing,” said André Vietor, chair of IAPCO’s Training Academy. “But change has to be introduced in a practical way so it can be managed within the financial viability of each meeting. Our aim is to assist in the process, enabling participants to take back to their work places the know-how to implement new concepts within the PCO services to their clients.”
The Wolfsberg seminar embraced a change in format this year with shorter, sharper Overview Sessions were preceded by in-depth Tutorials, where participants could gather in smaller groups to explore the topic. Group work gave the participants the chance to work independently of the faculty to stretch their minds to create unique stage production and presentations.
The 39th Annual Seminar will take place in Wolfsberg from January 19-24. 2013.
