Owensboro Convention Center rolled out a new website and app both designed to be more user-friendly and offer an interactive experience for its visitors.
“We wanted to improve our website and give people a tool that is highly functional, whether you want to know about events taking place, or plan your own event,” stated Madison Strobel, marketing & PR manager, Global Spectrum at the Owensboro Convention Center. “It was also very important that we use our local resources and work with an Owensboro-based company.”
In addition, Red Pixel, a local web design firm, also designed an app to complement the website.
“My favorite part of the app is the ability to look at our calendar and automatically add that event to my own personal calendar with the touch of a button,” stated Laura Alexander, director of sales & marketing, Global Spectrum. “We hope that this will help increase attendance.”
Added was QuickQuote, a website feature that allows a customer to get a quick estimate on upcoming meetings or weddings. The user provides a few details about the event and any additional services get an automatic quote, and then the user can review the estimate and request contact from a sales manager.
“With people wanting information easier and faster, the new app and QuickQuote are the perfect tools to make it easier to plan events and market those events to the public,” Alexander added.
