Owensboro Convention Center recognizes art sponsor

City of Owensboro officials will unveil an art sponsor recognition plaque at the Owensboro Convention Center in Kentucky on Nov. 5.

In August, E. M. Ford and Company sponsored the E.M. Ford and Company Community Cascade, a stained glass structure that hangs from the Owensboro Convention Center lobby ceiling. City officials will recognize the company with a sponsorship plaque at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow. The ceremony is open to the general public.

The Cascade was created by Henderson, Ky. native and stained glass artist Dan Neil Barnes. Barnes also created the sponsorship plaque and display stand that will be unveiled on Wednesday. In addition to the unveiling, Barnes will be exhibiting his work at Kraftucky Arts and Crafts Expo, which runs Nov. 7-9 at the Owensboro Convention Center.

The Owensboro Convention Center is located at 501 West 2nd St., in downtown Owensboro, Ky. The multi-purpose center boasts 92,000 square feet of meeting space, a more than 44,000 square-foot exhibition hall and over 48,000 square feet of additional ballroom and meeting space.
