Pacific World senior management earn more responsibilities

Following a year of strong growth, Pacific World, the integrated global DMC and event management organization, changed its senior management structure.

Mark Barber, the current finance director, will have added responsibilities as regional director Europe. Additionally, Harsha Krishnan will head up sales and marketing functions alongside his current role of strategic development director.

Both these appointments have been designed to continue the positive trends in the growth of the business, according to Global Managing Director Herve Joseph-Antoine.

“We want to focus the business on key strategic opportunities and to fully utilize the strengths and capabilities of an effective senior management team. Both Harsha and Mark are recognized across the Pacific World teams for their tremendous impact on Pacific World´s performance as well their leadership skills,” said Joseph-Antoine.

Barber is recognized across the Pacific World teams for his tremendous impact on the organization’s performance as well as for his leadership. Barber will be leading teams and businesses in Spain, Monaco, France and the UK into a new phase of development.

Krishnan has been a key player in the re-launch of Pacific World as a global MICE company since 2011 and is a natural leader to drive Pacific World’s next steps of growth. All Pacific World sales and marketing teams will work closely with Krishnan to optimize and further develop the Pacific World commercial and marketing strategy.

These changes come on top of a year in which Pacific World has experienced strong revenue growth from major source markets, particularly France and the UK. A focused key account management strategy in both these markets has delivered solid business opportunities through the year, resulting in 25 percent revenue growth from UK and 70 percent growth from France.

“This growth has come through continuously focusing on our clients’ requirements and quickly adapting services to these needs across the Pacific World network of fully owned and operated destinations. This combination of key account management at source and exceptional delivery in destination has proven to be invaluable,” added Joseph-Antoine.
