The Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority (PCCA) has announced the addition of a new vice president of finance. This new position will oversee all accounting and financial functions of the Authority.
Carol Hunt, formally the director of financial operations for PCCA, has worked in the finance department for the past 14 years, starting as accounting manager and progressing to her current position. She now oversees all of the accounting for the Authority, including financial reporting, budgeting, procurement, cash management, auditing, payroll and the strategic planning department. Hunt also serves as a liaison for the Authority with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and City of Philadelphia on financial matters.
“Carol is a talented executive whose financial acumen is a great asset as the Center develops its 21st century business model,” said Ahmeenah Young, President and CEO of the PCCA. “It is my privilege to have her as a part of our senior management team.”
Hunt began her career in the title insurance industry as an internal auditor and then held various roles in the accounting field advancing to the position of division controller. Hunt worked as a controller for the First American Title Insurance Company directing all accounting, financial reporting and system operations for the multimillion dollar division. She is both a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Public Finance Officer.
Hunt was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Avenue of the Arts. She is a longtime supporter of the arts in Philadelphia including the Kimmel Center, the Opera Company of Philadelphia, the Philly Pops, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Barnes Foundation and the new Heritage Center at the Union League. Hunt is a Philadelphia native.
