PeopleVisionFX creates “Worldwide Store” for ASC

PeopleVisionFX has created a unique tradeshow exhibit for the U.S. Army Sustainment Command (ASC) for the Association of the United States Army annual meeting in Washington, D.C.

The display, called the ASC Worldwide Store, provided the audience with a highly interactive introduction to the missions of the Army Sustainment Command. By positioning ASC as the “storefront to the soldier,” the display depicted a mission that involves high-visibility issues, global programs and the absolute requirement to support soldiers, civilians and families.

The creative concept for the ASC Worldwide Store was based on the classic general store: a single source for everything that a soldier needs, no matter what the mission is and no matter where on earth the need exists. Once the “store” introduction finished, the store window transformed to reveal store shelves with objects that were integrated within the old-time theme.

The programming of the presentation was provided by the PeopleVision “ObjectInteractive” system. All of the objects on the shelves were actually interactive triggers, and the screen itself was a large multi-touch display.

The ASC Worldwide Store was based on proprietary control and display technologies from New Jersey-based PeopleVisionFX. According to Wayne Sullivant, president, PeopleVisionFX, a key to the success of the display was attracting an attentive audience in order to communicate important information about ASC missions.

“The Worldwide Store’s interactive structure gave visitors immediate access to the exact information that they were interested in while providing an entertaining and memorable experience,” said Sullivant.

The U.S. Army Sustainment Command (ASC) provides Combat Service Support capability to soldiers serving in Combat Commands in the continental United States and overseas.
