Pharma EXPO makes Las Vegas debut

PACK EXPO owner and producer PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) announce their joint venture, Pharma EXPO. Making its Las Vegas debut in fall 2015, the show will co-locate with PACK EXPO Las Vegas, slated for Sept. 28–30, 2015, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Next year will be the second edition of Pharma EXPO with the first co-located at PACK EXPO International from Nov. 2–5 at McCormick Place.

Reaction to the new show has been very positive to date, said Jim Pittas, vice president, Trade Shows, PMMI.

“We’ve already exceeded our projections for Pharma EXPO 2014 by more than 6,000 net square feet of exhibit space,” Pittas added. “We’re confident that we’ll have at least the same level of response in Las Vegas next year.”

PMMI anticipates PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2015 and Pharma EXPO will attract over 30,000 attendees, representing over 40 vertical markets — including 5,000 international buyers from more than 130 countries — and in excess of 1,800 exhibiting companies in over 800,000 net square feet of exhibit space.

“Pharma EXPO connects pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and nutraceutical and medical device manufacturers with suppliers, all in one central location,” says Nancy Berg, president and CEO, ISPE. “We’re very pleased with the results we’re seeing in Chicago this fall, and we expect similar success for 2015.”

Pharma EXPO 2015, located in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, will span 60,000 net square feet of exhibit space and feature solutions for the entire pharmaceutical lifecycle, including anti-counterfeiting, commissioning and qualification, and labeling and packaging.
