Aluvision is pleased to announce that Phebe D’hondt has been hired as a Marketing and Communication Assistant.
D’hondt graduated as a conference interpreter in June of this year from Ghent University in Belgium, one of the best universities for postgraduate studies in conference interpreting in Belgium. She is a conference interpreter for the following language combinations: Dutch to French, French to Dutch and Spanish to Dutch, with an active knowledge of Dutch (mother tongue), French, Spanish and English and a passive knowledge of German.
“After I graduated as a conference interpreter, I chose to explore my working skills in the exhibit & event business,” says D’hondt. “Since Aluvision is a world player in the world of exhibitions, this is a great opportunity for me to get to know the marketing and event sector whilst getting in touch with foreign languages at a daily basis.”
“However,” she adds, “I feel like I have to explore the international market before ever starting to work as a conference interpreter. At the moment, this is not my ambition, although I really like interpreting.”
D’hondt is also passionate about photography and a real fitness addict, training three to four times a week. Since she was nine years old, she’s played the piano, still her number one activity to relax. And she really loves dogs!
A perfect work – life balance!
