The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) has announced three new members to its marketing and communications team. The PHLCVB welcomed Travis Hughes as Director of Digital Content. In this new role, he principals the organization’s social media presence, digital storytelling, and audience growth efforts. Most recently, Travis led digital strategy and content for NBC10, Telemundo62, and NBC Sports Philadelphia as a Senior Director, Digital. Joining his team is Emily Keel, new Social Media Specialist. Previously, she worked for the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board as a Content Coordinator.
Valeria Ramírez Siller also joined the PHLCVB as International Communications Manager. In this position, Valeria is responsible for developing and executing public relations strategies to promote Philadelphia as a global destination for international leisure travel. Prior to the PHLCVB, she served as the Consul for Press & Media, Academic, Economic & Cultural Promotion at the Consulate of Mexico in Philadelphia where she significantly expanded Mexico’s cultural and economic presence across the tri-state area.
Recently, the PHLCVB and Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority announced a new strategic Alliance Sales Model, a collaborative initiative that streamlines sales operations to deliver a more client-focused experience for Pennsylvania Convention Center customers. As a result of the transition, several ASM Global staff members have transitioned to the PHLCVB team. Russell Kice has joined the PHLCVB as Director of Convention Center Sales, playing a key role in ensuring a smooth and successful integration of the new model. Brendon Fitzsimons and Chris Somers also joined as Convention Center Sales Managers, along with Faith Betteridge as Convention Center Sales Coordinator.
Together in these roles, they support the PHLCVB’s mission to create positive economic impact across the Philadelphia region by marketing the destination, the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and attracting overnight visitors.
