The Puerto Rico Convention Bureau, a non-profit organization established in 1962 to drive conventions and tradeshows to Puerto Rico, recently added two national sales managers to its growing team.
Marcus Cade and Michael Carter will both bring their hospitality and marketing experience to the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau to help position the destination for increased group business travel.
“Marcus Cade has a proven track record for developing meeting and convention business across all group market sectors. Michael Carter brings solid sales experience in the corporate, hospitality and destination marketing and sales setting,” said Neil J. Mullanaphy, acting president and CEO, Puerto Rico Convention Bureau. “We are confident that both Marcus’s and Michael’s contributions to developing Puerto Rico’s group and convention business will be significant.”
Marcus Cade is a proven hospitality professional with extensive group sales experience. Over the past decade, Cade has worked for the Atlantic City Convention and Visitors Authority, the Salt Lake City Convention and Visitors Bureau and most recently, at the Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas. In addition, Cade has taught at Richard Stockton State College and Rutgers University, both in New Jersey.
Michael Carter is a hospitality and marketing professional with more than 14 years of experience. Most recently, Carter worked as a national sales manager at the Aloft Washington National Harbor. Prior to that, he worked at the Savannah Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Loudoun Convention and Visitors Association.
