Reed Exhibitions announces majority stake in All-Energy Australia

Reed ExhibitionsReed Exhibitions has announced that it has acquired a majority stake in All-Energy Australia, Australia’s single largest clean energy event. All-Energy Australia joins the recently launched Australian Sustainability in the Energy/Sustainability portfolio at Reed Exhibitions Australia.

Now in its fourth year, All Energy Australia combines a free-to-attend multi-stream conference with a major trade exhibition and networking events. The event takes place over two days at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, which was the first convention centre in the world to achieve a 6 Star Green environmental rating.

“All-Energy Australia is an exciting addition to the Reed Exhibitions portfolio,” said Debbie Evans, managing director of Reed Exhibitions Australia. “Since its launch in 2009, the event has gone from strength-to-strength, increasing annually in size and stature and establishing itself as an important meeting place for the clean energy community.”

The event attracts participation from around the globe and has significant support from Victoria’s Department of Primary Industries, the Clean Energy Council, Australian Solar Energy Society, Global CCS Institute, Energy Supply Association of Australia, The Energy Institute, Biofuels Association of Australia and other leading industry bodies.
John Gorton, Group Exhibition Director Reed Exhibitions, will be leading the new team responsible for delivering the up-coming 2012 event and beyond.

“All-Energy Australia is a great event. In 2011 over 3,600 participants from all over the world came together with 230 exhibiting companies for the 2-day conference and exhibition,” said Gorton. “The business model for this event has proved to be very successful and has achieved significant support from within the industry. Our goal is to follow this model and build on this already strong foundation by working with our sister events and partners around the world to deliver the very best conference program and exhibition. In addition we are delighted that All-Energy Directors Boyd Dale, Andy Ballagh and Ian Harper will remain with the event as partners.”

Boyd Dale, incumbent regional director for All-Energy Australia is equally positive about the future and is looking forward to growing the event in partnership with Reed Exhibitions.

“This represents an exciting new chapter for the All-Energy community in Australia,” said Dale. “The event and the sector have grown significantly since 2009 and now as part of the Reed Exhibitions family, with global connections and collaboration possibilities with similar events around the world, the future for All-Energy Australia is looking very strong indeed. My fellow directors and I look forward to working alongside Reed Exhibitions in developing the event and taking it to its full potential. We would like to thank all our team, sponsors and endorsing organizations, exhibitors, speakers and a host of individuals for their strong support and enthusiasm for All-Energy Australia that has enabled us to grow the event from its humble 2009 beginnings. It has been an exciting and challenging voyage of discovery and we look forward to more excitement and more challenges in the coming years.”
