NEW ORLEANS – Annual resiliency conference ResCon returns to the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center April 23-25, 2024. Building on past years’ events, the three-day international conference will bring together industry experts and leaders focused on successful resilience and disaster management in an evolving global environment.
ResCon provides a platform for a diverse mix of leaders and practitioners to convene, collaborate and explore emerging trends and challenges impacting communities and economies worldwide. The conference features multiple sessions, interactive panel discussions led by public and private experts, offsite resiliency tours and, new this year, campfire sessions designed to highlight successful case studies. Attendees of this year’s conference can look forward to networking with peers and forming new partnerships while gaining practical insights into resiliency, water management, emergency response, disaster management, insurance and more.
“At this transformative annual event, leaders and pioneers gather to share expertise and best practices to help strengthen our collective resilience,” said Michael J. Sawaya, Convention Center President and CEO. “Given the ongoing global challenges we face, the Convention Center team is proud to host ResCon once again, providing a space for experts and organizations to learn from each other and share tactics and strategies to strengthen responses and readiness for various emergencies. I encourage professionals in emergency and disaster management, public safety, government and related fields to join us for this important event.”
Founded in 2012 and formerly called International Disaster Conference and Expo, ResCon typically brings together governors, chief resiliency officers, professors and industry experts. Electric grid resiliency, wildfire management and incorporating social equity into preparedness planning are among the topics that will be covered in the diverse array of sessions available for attendees.
