Nearly 800 exhibitors from 33 countries will present aids for independent living at REHACARE 2014, held Sept. 24-27 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The international trade fair and congress, titled “Self-determined Living,” will be geared toward experts, those affected and the relatives of people with disabilities, those who require care and the elderly.
In addition to the individual exhibitors, REHACARE 2014 will also feature country group exhibits from nations such as Canada, China, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan and the UK.
Products and services for nearly every aspect of life and every target group will offer mobility and daily living aids, assistive technology for out-patient care, communication technology, barrier-free living as well as ideas for leisure, travel and sports in six halls.
A congress, numerous theme parks and information events will offer information on the latest trends in rehabilitation, care and aging.
In the mobility segment, more than 200 renowned international manufacturers will present wheelchairs, mobility scooters and walking aids. Leading car manufacturers such as AUDI, Daimler and Volkswagen will showcase their latest models, adapted to the needs of the disabled in hall 6.
There will also be manufacturers and service providers specializing in customized rebuilds and in-vehicle installations for the specific personal needs of motorists with an impairment.
One third of all exhibitors are trade associations, organizations and self-help groups. They play a leading role in the organization of the theme parks and special exhibits on education and employment, tourism and culture as well as sports for the disabled.
REHACARE reaches broad visitor target groups with a high level of decision-making authority, including experts and buyers from medical supply retail stores, rehab centers, health care and elderly care institutions, physician’s practices and laboratories as well as from trade and industry and trade associations.
